What we do

We design and deliver fitness programmes for all ages, young and old!  Our qualified fitness instructors provide a range of fun and educational fitness activities which will keep you coming back for more!

All necessary equipment for the activities are provided by BFITCO along with suitable music and a portable sound system with microphone, so all you have to do is come along!

All of our fitness and activity programmes can be tailored to your particular requirements so please do get in touch to discuss your needs.  Activity sessions are generally an hour, however some may differ depending upon the age of participants.

Children’s Fitness Programmes

Active Movement – for 0-5 years

A programme designed to encourage children to develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually.  It builds foundations for learning, moving and communicating to be happy, healthy, confident and to feel loved.  For more detailed information you can visit www.sparc.org.nz

Toddler Energy – for 2 – 4 years

A multi-skills programme,  this is a motivating workout combining fun games, music and exciting equipment such as hoppers, parachute, balls, bean bags, dice and lots more.   This session promotes all types of activity and participation.

Team Energy – for 5-11 years

A multi-skills programme, this is similar to Toddler Energy.  This session promotes all types of activity and participation.

Mini Track Attack – for 2-3 years and 3-4 years

An introduction to athletics including track and field activities using equipment suitable for the age groups.

Adult Fitness Programmes

We offer a range of fitness classes for all ages and gender and specially designed sessions for ante and post natal women:

Fitness classes

  • Bodycombat – a martial arts based programme, choreographed to music, a good fun motivating cardiovascular workout, using interval training, for all abilities, can be high or low intensity.

  • Bodypump – a toning and sculpting class using weights, choreographed to music. Isolating muscle groups for optimum results.

  • Legs, Bums and Tums – a toning and conditioning class with a basic aerobic warm-up targeting all those wobbly areas of the legs, bum and tum, suitable for all fitness levels with options and adaptations if required.

  • Circuits – a cardiovascular class using interval training, incorporating a number of workout stations, ranging from sit-ups, shuttle runs, step-ups and tricep dips.  Possible themes include skipping, hula and combat.

  • Stretch, Tone and Relax – a mixture of Yoga and Pilates moves, good for strengthening and toning also a good cellulite buster!!!  With a well earned relaxation session at the end.

  • Aerobics – a cardiovascular workout choreographed to music, a fun way to burn those calories!

  • Antenatal classes – a gentle exercise programme designed to maintain health related fitness during pregnancy, to promote a healthy rate of recovery post delivery.  Suitable for women throughout pregnancy, subject to good overall health.

  • Postnatal classes – a specially formulated, gentle exercise programme to help you regain your pre-pregnant state in a safe and effective way, to tone and strengthen areas that have weakened during pregnancy.
